St. Leonard Parent Association Minutes

September 2, 2008

Present: Joe Munoz, Debi Unzueta, Mary Petrassi, Krystyna Walsher,

Marybeth Goldbranson, MaryAnne Plenys and Mike Kampe

Old Business:  42 families attended the Luau at the Berwyn Recreation

Center.  Everyone had a good time and the menu was superb!!!! Definitely

consider putting in on the calendar for next year.  The Welcome Back

coffee was also a success; some new families attended but could have been

more.  Possible consideration was to contact the mentor families and have

them mention it to the new families... 

The SLPA meetings will now start at 7:30 p.m. instead of 7:00 p.m...

All School Assembly: A video was viewed from the American Eagle Production Company with some of their performances. The SLPA

agreed that this would be something to consider for Catholic School’s

week.  Mr. White would need to be contacted to see if “Jesus Christ Superstar” would be appropriate and if Friday the 30^th would work.

Roller Skating Party: The Roller Skating party will be on January 30

(Friday) at the Fleetwood Roller Rink.  More details to follow.

Benefit Night: This month’s benefit night will be at Famous Dave’s

On September 23.

Octoberfest:  Subcommittees have been had at work planning this

event.  On September 16 their will be a meeting to finalize the arrangements.

Treasury:  Each teacher will be contacted regarding the start up fund

of $25 for their classroom.
