Who Crowned Mary?
Below is a partial list of the young ladies who reverently climbed the festooned ladder in church each May and respectfully lay the wreath of spring flowers on Mary's head. The ceremony at times including the reciting of the rosary, the singing of Marian hymns, and the procession of school children into church. Presently, St. Leonard holds two May Crowning ceremonies, one for our school children and one for the parish itself.
